Booking Process
Step 1 - Check Availability & See Your Total Cost
Start by checking the calendar just below this section or via any ‘Book Now’ button.
You’ll be able to select your preferred dates and immediately see the total cost of your hire.

Weekday Hire: £120 per day

Weekend Hire (Saturday & Sunday): £140 per day
Once you’re happy with the dates and price, just follow the prompts to continue.
Step 2 – Secure Your Booking with Payment
Pay the full hire amount to confirm your booking and lock in your dates.
You’ll be automatically guided to the next step after payment, and a confirmation email will follow.

Step 3 – Complete Your ID Check
After payment, you’ll be directed to upload your driving licence and a valid form of ID.
This is an essential step and must be completed before the day of your booking.
We use your licence details to confirm your identity and check for any points, which determines the insurance excess that will be held on your card.
Step 4 – Insurance Excess & Collection Day
When you arrive to collect your Liberty Horsebox, please bring your driving licence with you.
Based on your licence check, an insurance excess hold will be placed on your payment card. This is usually between £750 and £1,500, depending on your driving history.
As long as the horsebox is returned in good condition, the full amount will be refunded in full.

Pricing
All pricing includes hire, insurance, VAT, breakdown, and repatriation of your horse.
Payment is to be made in full to secure the booking and is refundable up to 7 days before the booking (excluding a £25 admin fee).
Upon booking, we also take an insurance excess holding fee, which is subject to points on the license. A full breakdown of this process can be found in the Self Hire Process Document.

Before booking, please review our Terms & Conditions, which serve as the contract you will sign before driving your horsebox away. We also encourage you to read through the Self Drive Hire Process for important information regarding our rental policies, including insurance and damage coverage.
Our Horsebox Payloads
We provide 3.5T horseboxes with a generous 950kg payload, suitable for transporting up to two horses depending on size and weight. Check the chart below for more information on how many horses each box can accommodate. Please note, these are average weights – please take your horse and additional item actual weight into consideration.

Our vehicle is built on a Vauxhall Movano chassis, equipped with features like a stallion partition, internal tack locker, and ample storage in both the groom’s area and Luton lockers above the driver’s cab.
